I wish ecological restoration didn’t have so many syllables. But the concept is easier to understand when you see it in actual practice at the grassroots. And that’s the reason for this magazine. We’re telling the stories of the people who are restoring the health of the land to protect our vital natural resources. The “land” might be only one’s back yard, but every little bit makes a difference. The point is, ecological restoration is something all of us can do whether we live in town or the country. Mrs. Woods has more about the magazine on the other pages. On this page I’ll blog from time to time about observations on what’s happening at the grassroots.
